My main inspiration to become a teacher and a science teacher in specific. Dates back to 10th grade when I had the most amazing biology teacher. I cannot remember her name. But she was full passion and energy for biology. She took a subject that most students dreaded and not only made it enjoyable, her classes always looked forward to her class.
She made me passionate about learning, and ignited a passion to ignite that passion in others.
In the more recent past one of my professors here at URI continued the light burning. Dr. Evan Pressier, he is my adviser and taught my ecology class. He has showen me in countless ways how to grab,(hook) student interest in a classroom. Small things that I picked up by observing him teach.
